Oscar Black Out; Image Awards is best for my taste

So.. the OScars have come and gone and by all reports we won't be celebrating black faces in the winner's cicle.. On one hand it's ok, we've broken that barrier already. It's awesome that Taraji P. Henson received a nomination for her role in the "Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons"....

But in all the hoopla following the Awards, I don't hear any names that are culturally relevant to me... Sorry, much kudos to Heath, Penelope and 'em, but I'm not really going to the movies to see them on first weekend....

That said, I think the best and most important awards show this season has been the NAACP Image Awards... Click the vid below to check out some sights and sounds of the 40th NAACP Image Awards held earlier this month....

Reading these kind of posts reminds me of just how technology truly is something we cannot live without in this day and age, and I am fairly confident when I say that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory falls, the possibility of downloading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.
